Argentina Travel Guide
Most people visit Argentina for the steak. Or Patagonia. Or the tango. And yes, all of that delivers. But what surprised me most was everything in between — the crumbling colonial architecture of Buenos Aires, the wine-soaked afternoons in Mendoza, and especially the northwest. Salta and Jujuy don’t get nearly the attention they deserve. The landscapes up there — red rock gorges, salt flats, cactus-filled valleys — feel like a different country entirely. Argentina is massive, dramatic, and culturally rich in ways that go far beyond the highlights reel.
In this Argentina travel guide, you’ll find loads of tips, advice, and inspiration to help you plan your trip, including practical information on getting around and staying safe. The information is based on six months traveling the country by bus, from Buenos Aires to Patagonia, from Mendoza’s vineyards to the deserts of the northwest and the thundering falls at Iguazu. Argentina is one of my favorite countries in South America — and one of the few where I felt like six months still wasn’t enough.
